Teikametrics is one of the more widely-known Amazon advertising tools, and it has a real product. But recent reviews paint a troubling picture: sellers being charged months after cancelling, customer support staffed entirely by bots with no human escalation path, and — most critically — ad spend going up after adopting the platform, not down.
We built Calbridge after years of managing Amazon ad spend directly — about $500,000 per month at our peak. This comparison is our honest take. We'll tell you where Teikametrics is genuinely strong and where we think it falls short for the sellers most likely to be reading this.
Billing complaints (2026): Multiple recent Trustpilot reviewers report being charged by Teikametrics after submitting cancellation requests, sometimes for 2–3 additional billing cycles. The common thread is a support experience that involves only automated responses and no clear escalation to a human. If you're considering Teikametrics, document your cancellation request with a direct email to their billing team and save the confirmation.
| Feature | Teikametrics | Calbridge |
|---|---|---|
| Base price | $99–$999/mo + 3% of ad spend over $10k | Free–$499/mo flat. No % of spend. |
| Contract | Monthly, but cancellation process disputed | Month-to-month, cancel in 2 clicks |
| Percentage fee | Yes — 3% over $10k/mo spend | No — ever |
| Free tier | No | Yes — no credit card required |
| Agency / multi-brand | Available, higher cost | Agency plan $549/mo + $299/brand |
| White-label portal | Not available | Included in Agency plan |
The 3% overage fee is the piece most sellers miss in the Teikametrics pitch. If you're spending $50,000/month on ads, that's $1,200/month on top of your base subscription — in addition to your actual ad spend. The fee scales with your success, which means the better your ads perform, the more you pay.

The most alarming theme in negative Teikametrics reviews isn't the billing — it's the performance. Multiple reviewers report that their total Amazon ad spend increased after adopting Teikametrics, without a proportional increase in sales. The AI optimization, for some users, appears to drive spend rather than efficiency.
There are a few reasons this can happen with any AI bidding tool. If the optimization target is too narrowly focused on conversion rate rather than profitability, the system will happily increase bids on converting keywords even if the contribution margin on those conversions is negative. A tool that shows you ACoS without contribution margin can optimize itself into unprofitability while the metrics look green.
Calbridge shows you contribution margin at the campaign level. Before any AI recommendation gets approved, you can see whether executing it is projected to improve or degrade your actual profit — not just your attributed ROAS.
This is a real differentiator at our stage. Calbridge is founder-led. When you have a question, you're talking to the people who built the product and manage real Amazon accounts with it every day. Not a tier-1 support bot, not a rotating help desk, not a canned response system.
As Calbridge grows, that will evolve. But for now, the support experience is qualitatively different from an enterprise SaaS where your account is one of thousands.
In fairness: Teikametrics is a mature product with real SP optimization capability. If you're a brand spending under $10,000/month on ads and you want a simple bidding tool without a lot of setup, it may be adequate. Their flywheel model is genuinely interesting for keyword discovery at launch.
But if you're spending over $10k/month (where the 3% fee kicks in), managing multiple brands, need agency reporting, or want profitability visibility beyond ACoS — you're paying for features you're not getting.
The case for Calbridge over Teikametrics comes down to three things:
The free tier lets you connect your Amazon account and see your own data in 5 minutes. No credit card, no commitment. Compare the two yourself.
